All Three Main Parties Accused of Skullduggery in Commons

The entire electorate know that charges of financial trickery are warranted.

Below, from Hansard, linked here, are some of the direct charges made yesterday in the House of Commons by MPs themselves. What, if anything will the electorate do about it? Is merely withdrawing their support for the three main political parties in elections really sufficient?

Andrew Stephenson(Pendle) (Con): Given the scandal involving Unite the Union in Falkirk, and the leaked internal document showing that it is now trying to influence selections in 40 other constituencies across the country, including Pendle, does the Minister agree that there is huge public demand for complete transparency on the influence of trade unions on our political system?
Miss Smith: It is high time this is looked at. I think that the examples my hon. Friend has just given demonstrate that these are by no means isolated cases. It is the same old Labour party, which Len McCluskey still bankrolls, still rigs selections for, still controls and still chooses the leader for.
Sadiq Khan (Tooting) (Lab): The Minister talks about transparency in the political system. She will be aware of the huge concern in March last year when it was first disclosed that multi-millionaires were getting privileged access to No. 10 Downing street and potentially influencing Government policy. It is about more than just elections; it is about influencing Government policy. Does she think that those millionaires will have more of an impact or less of an impact at the next general election?

The Deputy Prime Minister: All parties in this House, if we are candid with each other, have had problems with the way in which big money circulates in politics.... the Labour party has failed and failed and failed to address the fact that it is at the beck and call of major vested interests in British society

Mr David Winnick (Walsall North) (Lab): Would not the Deputy Prime Minister speak with more credibility about political funding if his party returned the £2.5 million given to it by a convicted criminal, Michael Brown? That money was stolen. Why not return it?

Political parties wield THE power in Britain, those who join them know how they are run and thereby make a Faustian pact to partake in that power. The Parties are all, it would appear from the above and in one way or another, similarly corrupt. The powers thus obtained, it seems from the ever continuing expenses scandals, are then mainly being used for the self-enrichment of such MPs, even to the extent of the selling out of the democracy and Parliament these very MPs were actually elected to protect. But the Parties controlling the candidate lists and the tribal voting patterns of the British electorate, allow this system to survive - even to the now almost complete bankruptcy of the country and its effective governance from abroad!

Not voting Labour, Conservative or Liberal Democrat ever again is certainly one remedy, but is it enough given the powers already ceded to the EU? 

Any remedy thus seems to first demand EU withdrawal which is possible under Article 5O but to make that possible will demand a huge and sudden surge in support for UKIP, for which they are yet to be fully prepared. 

An alternative would be for enough MPs, possibly now spurred by sensing their own looming danger, to  at last realise the urgency and necessity of a non-EU, non ConLabLib alternative for Great Britain. If they let the Euro crisis play itself out, it will be too late for them and we will all become dependent upon the organisational and administrative talents which UKIP can muster.

All MPs today stand accused of complicity in this mess, by continuing to be beneficiaries of the corrupt system their parties have deliberately created for election to public office in the UK, only allowing in weak-willed dross who will continue to tolerate such obscene abuses of power apparently with self-enrichment their one and only aim!

Nick Clegg - Happy to leave Britain in Limbo

The Mail has a review this morning of a book by Lord Adonis on Nick Clegg's behaviour and attitude during the negotiations of the Coalition Agreement, the result of which will form the basis of yet another Queen's Speech in Parliament today; It is linked from here. The first sentence is as follows;

Nick Clegg wanted the negotiations which set up the Coalition to last for ‘weeks’, a book reveals.

In the clear weakness in character and temprement of David Cameron, the Prime Minister himself, lie a myriad of reasons why this Coalition should be brought to an early end by the ever larger body of disgruntled Tory MPs.

In the detail of this book there seems to lie ample cause why the likes of a Nick Clegg type, EU-sullied and fanatical LibDem character, should never again be allowed within reach of the reins of power!

The pointlessness of this coalition will be fully revealed today for any who witness or read the Gracious Speech by the Queen in the House of lords!

Mali a New Trial for the EU

The Presidency of France is arguably the most powerful elected constitutional post in the Western world. This was strikingly illustrated by President Hollande's brief TV address to the nation yesterday afternoon, when he announced his country's forces were in action in Mali and that his Parliament could discuss it if they wished after the weekend, namely three days ahead on Monday.

Well that once was the case, but what now with the EU and the complications of the ESM Treaty now in force for about three and a half months, summary here, while a more detailed explanation here. The Mali engagement by French forces will inevitably impact the French deficit, debt, credit ratings and thereby its ability to meet its ESM Treaty obligations!

A fascinating dispute between France and Finland has only just arisen which illustrates the coming problems very well, read one report here. Essentially Finland has lost a contract to build a large Caribbean cruise liner in Turku to French competition in St Nazaire, apparently due to Finlan's reluctance to match the level of Government subsidy offered by France. How much more difficult has this dispute become as France's African venture brings ever closer the moment when France, instead of being the second largest contributor to the ESM, instead is forced to call upon it for funds and thus partly reliant on Finland's AAA credit rating for lower interest rates. 

Ironic, is it not that, such lower interest costs and higher credit rating are owed to the sanity of the Finnish Government, the sacrifices of its people given from living within their means and consequent reluctance to dish out grotesque subsidies of wasted taxpayers money for otherwise non-competitive industries?

This blog has repeatedly quoted the nonsense of the contribution percentages written into the ESM Treaty as begging belief, with both Spain and Italy being due to contribute large portions of the funds they seem to be among the most likely to need. Let me try another analogy on the ESM, think of it as a Christmas Club, where with all in full employment they all agree to cough up X% of their wages for a celebratory bash every year. How many need to become unemployed and broke before such a club folds? The ESM, of course, was only formed when several of its founders were already in a state of relying on the formation of such a Club for themselves to avoid bankruptcy!

Let us return to Mali, however, for even more absurdities of the EU will soon appear as a result of France's colonial legacy, the costs of which seem to be about to be partly defrayed by that country's Euro Group partners non-consulted members.

My Great Aunt, Margery Perham, was something of an Africa expert and in 1932 debated the contrast between French direct Colonial Rule with Britain's indirect methods with the then Governor of Chad, Jules Marcel de Coppet, who explained it partly in my Aunt's paraphrase - to the lingering dislike of local government in modern France,'a hangover from strong feudal power and an obstacle to centralization'. In addition, the French experience in Africa had been, from the start, more about military and imperial control than anything else, objectives backed up by the dominant French colonial paradigm to the north, represented by Algeria. Such is the situation (perhaps I should say potential quagmire) into which the EU, or at least the Euro Group has put itself this morning, complicated even further by the coming into force of the Fiscal Compact a mere eleven days ago.

I will, of course, be returning to these complex issues quite often as the date of PM Cameron's landmark speech on Britain and the EU has now been fixed at 22nd January in the Netherlands, a clear signal that Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg's influence is clearly already heavily at work. The worldly maritime view from Holland and Spain will be now badly needed, rather than the dreadful EU embedded corporatism so far evident in all Clegg's actions.  The very unworldly and frankly almost naive David Cameron is going to struggle to rise to this occasion, especially with Clegg in his team and the likes of Michael Heseltine already loudly interfering from the wings, read here! 

                                                                                        

Westminster MPs in the Valley of Death

Westminster of course has 650 sitting Members of Parliament,  perhaps 50 odd may survive the coming, mostly well-deserved, destruction among their numbers at the next election, following the shameful garbage put out by the three main political parties yesterday, to mark the mid-term point of this drifting, directionless coalition government.

The problem, as I Tweeted yesterday, comes on page 20 of the Cameron/Clegg long listing of lies but runs throughout Labour's output as well, it is this:

Europe
The Government is committed to 
membership of the European 
Union.

The country has suffered forty years of growing European rule which culminates in this document. There is very little left of a meaningful programme if you remove all the policy areas following EU edicts and effectively none whatsoever if one then removes everything that smacks of the EU mindset of socialist corporate collectivism.

The growing poll numbers for the UK Independence Party is proof that this game has now run its course. How much more so after two more years of windbag pomposity and expense fiddling - delivering only added financial ruin to the people of our country!

Rightly fearful MPs now sitting in Westminster must be made aware that their deceitful game is up! If the Coalition lasts its full term it will be they who are at fault, for only they NOW have the power to deliver it a merely proverbial death blow, which may later become brutal should they not do so, I suspect that other Valley of Death, from Psalm 23, will then prove a lonely place indeed for most who now sit on Westminster's green benches:

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me"

Crunch weekend for Cameron and Clegg

Make no mistake about it, what Cameron and Clegg decide to do in the coming hours will seal the fate of their Coalition, the economy of the country and the future potential (if there is to be any) of their political parties.

First the easy bit. Resulting from the need for a further Government re-shuffle following the resignation of the Government's Chief Whip, the glaring necessity to remove Osborne as Chancellor cannot be dodged a further time.

A new Governor of the Bank of England is urgently required to salvage the wreckage left by New Labour and their appointee, Sir Mervyn King; One option being reportedly considered by Osborne is his Deputy, Paul Tucker, obviously an insane impossibility. The second choice supposedly is Osborne's head, Adair Turner, which seems at first look even less acceptabale than Tucker.

In this blogger's view there is only one individual in the country with the necessary experience and qualifications, and that is Nigel Lawson. Should he feel unable to fill the post, even on an interim basis, then perhaps he should be assigned to find a successor while the Government crisis unfolds.

I will be posting later today, on this blog, on the other options available for the Coalition. The effect of the now crucially important EU crisis will be a major consideration and this summary of the situation from Ralf Grahn, posted this morning provides some good background.

Lib/Dems also implicated with the "Unspeakable" Cameron over Coulson

Much of what I have written regarding the shaming of the Conservative Party over Andy Coulson on this blog may be re-read from this link. On 24th September 2011, (over a year after a full discussion of all the grave implications see here), I had the following to say on the Liberal Democrats, whose leader, Nick Clegg, allowed Coulson to be appointed as spokesman for his Government, as urged by the clearly similarly decadent Hague and Osborne on the vapid David Cameron.

Liberal Democrats not wishing to now become tarred by the same brush of sleaze, half-truths and downright untruths which the Downing Street media manipulation machine has become over recent years should quickly re-examine the backgrounds and lack of integrity and judgement that seems to be the rule among the leadership of their coalition partners as Parliament re-convenes after its long break during the past crisis ridden summer.

The LibDems chose not so to do, Britain is thus left without any party of integrity at Westminster as the economies of our Continental Partners, upon whom our politicians have chosen to squander this nation's wealth, face economic collapse! Worse all as constantly predicted on this blog, and others, over many, many years!

Now at Leveson today, as the consequences of the EU conspiracy finally hit home across the Channel, Britain's Prime Minister finds his very ability to function questioned, while the Coalition Government's supporters in Westminster are all implicated in this corrupt and degrading episode, surely a new low point in British public life!

Britain's maritime heritage lives on! Britain does NOT!

While the three arrogant bullies, who today run bankrupt Britain, cower in Downing Street, apparently unable to face the obvious consequences of their joint decision to appoint Andy Coulson as their, and their Coalition Government's official spokesman (almost as its first act), across the globe in Western Australia a magnificent example of Britain's maritime heritage is taking place. Britain's politicians, today perfectly epitomised, by the stuck-up trio Cameron, Clegg and Osborne, fittingly represent their class of opinionated low-grade opportunists who have for years sold out their once proud country to the EU and rendered it the bankrupt plaything for Continental conspirators which it has today become.

Four thousand seven hundred english speaking US servicemen and women, this weekend visit the Western Australian cities of Fremantle and Perth, to share the heritage of which our language seems to remain the last significant element in so far as British men and women can be concerned or involved. Our politicians have sold out our place amongst the english speaking nations of the world for the pensions and perks they, together with their officials, harvest as our administrators, such lucre being returned to these undeserving turncoats, as the price of a seat among the 27 "member states" of the evil EU.

This weekend I am visiting an island where it is believed the roots of Admiralty Law can be found. There will be no more posts until Monday!

Coalition crippled by Clegg

 Not content with undermining the Government's international treaty policy with his treacherous meeting of eu-federalists in Admiralty House on Monday, Nick Clegg either incited, or failed to prevent his peers in the House of Lords from inflicting defeat on three clearly agreed items of Coalition Government policy, read here.

Clegg's agreed position on the Fiscal Compact with his european co-conspirators of Monday, turned up in the Preamble of the latest draft of the increasingly grotesque treaty, upon which I blogged at length last evening and will here merely repeat th particularly offensive lie:

BEARING IN MIND that the objective of the Heads of State or Government of the euro area Member States and of other Member States of the European Union is to incorporate the provisions of this Agreement as soon as possible into the Treaties on which the European Union is founded.

The Coalition is such in name, ministerial posts, perks and cars only. There is zero common ground on any of the crucial problems today facing the country. David Cameron should tender his resignation to the Queen, pledge to re-negotiate our treaties with the EU and put his recommended solution first to the people of Britain in a General Election, and thereafter to a referendum regarding our future  relationship with the EU.

Britain's Coalition strains on EU covered in EurActiv

Headlining Cameron's pledge to block a Tobin tax made on the Marr TV show yesterday morning, EurActiv, linked here, goes on to discuss the strains over the EU within Britain's governing coalition, which are likely to worsen today as Nick Clegg hosts Olli Rehn and several other fanatical eurofederalists vaguely sharing a label of "liberal".

Eurosceptic temptation

Cameron may see the political benefit of a more assertive approach to Brussels after his decision to veto the new EU treaty won him praise from eurosceptics on the right of his Conservative Party and brought him a boost in the opinion polls.
However, it angered his pro-European junior coalition partners, the Liberal Democrats.
Cameron said it was a "myth" his veto left Britain isolated, saying eurozone members had met without Britain for years. He added that other EU states may eventually reject the pact.
Britain has opened a new battle front with its EU partners by saying members of the new "fiscal compact" should not take decisions on issues affecting the EU's single market for trade.
"Britain's interest is in having a strong single market that's determined at the level of the 27," Cameron said.
He said Britain would be part of agreements it had a national interest in joining, such as the EU single market and NATO, but not of the Schengen passport-free zone or the euro, which it had no national interest in joining.
"We are a lot better off outside the euro, with our own currency and our very low interest rates that we have right now," he said.
Britain's Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, the Liberal Democrat leader, is to host a meeting of his liberal allies from around Europe in London on Monday to promote his agenda of re-engagement with the EU after Cameron's treaty veto.

Clegg, Treason and Xenophobia

The leader of the Liberal Democrat party and Deputy Prime Minister is reported in an interview in The Guardian, linked here, as follows:

 He (Clegg) says it is significant that the EU council has granted the UK observer status at the meetings of the new group. Equally, he is firm that Britain will not block or legally challenge the 26-strong group from using institutions such as the commission and the European court of justice. "We have made some very big steps in the last few days. If you get behind the headlines of the big domestic argy-bargy in Britain, we have signalled we are happy for them to use EU institutions.

The article was datelined Friday 16th December and timed at 18:33 GMT.  This may be significant in any enquiry set up to establish whether this known EU sympathiser has exceeded either his authority or legality, should he be found to be the individual who made such an ill-judged and legally impossible assertion.

Clegg has also named Nigel Farage and Alex Salmond in a wide-ranging attack against xenophobia (the hatred or fear of foreigners) during this weekend. I feel certain the leader of UKIP and the Scottish Nationalist parties need no help from this blog in defending their policies. Clegg, in his attack on all Eu-realists, should be made aware that sensible diplomacy involves the protection of one's country's interests against the designs of foreigners whose objectives are often the opposite. Selling out your own nation's interests for the main benefit of foreigners, is on the other hand, treason.

Eurosceptics weary of the intentions of foreigners, whose fears are now proved to have been entirely correct in recent days, would be quite correct in demanding the Deputy Prime Minister retracts for the clearly false slur against their intent and motivation!.
