Westminster MPs in the Valley of Death

"Half a term, half a term,
Half a term onward,
All in the Valley of Death
Rode the six hundred"
(Apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson's memory)

Westminster of course has 650 sitting Members of Parliament,  perhaps 50 odd may survive the coming, mostly well-deserved, destruction among their numbers at the next election, following the shameful garbage put out by the three main political parties yesterday, to mark the mid-term point of this drifting, directionless coalition government.

The problem, as I Tweeted yesterday, comes on page 20 of the Cameron/Clegg long listing of lies but runs throughout Labour's output as well, it is this:

Europe
The Government is committed to
membership of the European
Union.

The country has suffered forty years of growing European rule which culminates in this document. There is very little left of a meaningful programme if you remove all the policy areas following EU edicts and effectively none whatsoever if one then removes everything that smacks of the EU mindset of socialist corporate collectivism.

The growing poll numbers for the UK Independence Party is proof that this game has now run its course. How much more so after two more years of windbag pomposity and expense fiddling - delivering only added financial ruin to the people of our country!

Rightly fearful MPs now sitting in Westminster must be made aware that their deceitful game is up! If the Coalition lasts its full term it will be they who are at fault, for only they NOW have the power to deliver it a merely proverbial death blow, which may later become brutal should they not do so, I suspect that other Valley of Death, from Psalm 23, will then prove a lonely place indeed for most who now sit on Westminster's green benches:

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me"

Empty Olympic seats bear testimony to politicians incompetence

It often appeared to me when living in Britain, that politicians could only spend the wealth which they extorted from others. The same held true for most public servants and nearly all quangos.

The empty seats at the Olympics will now provide daily proof of this stark fact, visible and daily evidence of how they have thus destroyed the nation's wealth, see here. No doubt they will contrive to disguise this truth, by cobbling together some cheapskate means of salvaging a little revenue on a day to day basis for seats that would otherwise be empty as mere window-dressing, to spare their embarassment.

It would not have been beyond the wit of any reasonably competent commercial enterprise to ensure that a main area of revenue raising in a venture now forecast to cost £11 billion is milked to the maximum, with seats subject to re-sale in the event of a no-show within a certain specified time.

It appears almost everything to do with making money is beyond the wit of those who stand for public office in the UK and of those they then appoint to perform the tasks they have been voted to oversee. In other words they are both witless and as has been proven time and again elsewhere in recent governance, without conscience, nor possibly even morals nor indeed, sometimes even honesty.

Turning away spectaors for the "unticketed" archery event was yet another early example of such thought process defects, as I blogged yesterday the NHS of course remains the prime example within the country, amazingly unseen by the ill-educated masses, upon which Peter Hitchens wrote so well upon my birthday in the Daily Mail, linked here.

One really must wonder for how much longer our politicians can continue to escape any consequences for their quite obvious complete and utter incompetence and unscupulousness! Unhappily for ever if Hitchen's gloomy views are proved correct.

When Great Alfred lay on Athelney.....? An Anglo-Saxon message for the EU

When King Alfred the Great lay on the Isle of Athelney, the true forebears of the English, well knew the consequences and fearsome perils of paying the Danegeld. Would that our leaders of today were as wise, read this EU Observer report from yesterday, linked here.

Today, a grubby instrument of doubtful legality, (no, not the budget, although that will surely receive all the publicity) will doubtless be passed in the House of Commons by our money grabbing, maggot MPs, thus sealing the demise of our democracy, it being the first of what will inevitably become a river of orders in the form of non-negotiable statutes passed to us by the German controlled EU, in accordance with their remit to in future enforce Economic Governance across Europe, to which we will inevitably be subject, once they create the crisis that will force our weak rulers to sign up for the Euro.

After Jan and Robert Kilroy-Silk, I was the third party member of a political party called Veritas, meaning truth, formed to bring that stolen commodity back to the people of the British Isles. We were thwarted, partly by the mainstream media, to whom the truth remains anathema. After the budget today, and with other ongoing and unstoppable events, the bloody penury of the British People will be shouted across the headlines of this same media, driving home to the former nation its dreadful message of the daily purgatory of being penniless.

This blog, is not one of those that likes to revel in expletives. Down the many years of Ironies and Ironies Too the writer has tried to avoid the use of expleteives, but on this occasion, given that there will most likely never again be another opportunity, bloodlessly so to do, I believe the House of Commons should quite simply, today tell the EU, to Fuck Off!
