EU Foreign Ministers trash more cash at the seaside!

Baroness Ashton is so useless as to be almost unworthy of mention. The EU was split almost exactly as far down the middle as it is possible to get 27 of anything to be, in so far as action on Libya was conerned, so why do the poor austerity stricken citizens of the EU have to pay for jollies like this; not forgetting all the cash expended and wasted on Ashton and the EEAS over the past year!

On top of that Barroso is off to the Southern Hemisphere on another jolly as blogged here this morning! Waste and more waste, talk and more talk but never any action on the mounting economic chaos! (See below for Trichet's lunchtime stroll on a private estate at Lago Como this lunchtime).

Unconscionable Germany re-visited - Westerwelle still hangs on!

The German Foreign Minister, Guido Westerwelle, barely clings to power this evening, as reported by Der Spiegel, linked here.

It was last March when he should have been forced from office, at the same moment a common EU foreign policy and the wasteful EEAS should have been sent to the trash, just as I blogged at the time, read here, from which I quote:

Germany is presently holding a two year seat on the UN Security Council, yet in spite of their Foreign Minister promising that "Germany will be a reliable, responsible and engaged partner....We will do our part to ensure that the world continues to see the council as the central body for peace and security in the world." that country abstained in the vote aimed at putting a halt to the murderous Colonel Gadaffi having a free hand from the international community to carry on recklessly slaughtering his own citizens.

Which EU citizens wish to associate themselves with such an abstention, and what values are thus accepted, effectively stating "our neighbours may do as they wish, as long as we are free to tell all in the EU how to run their societies, while we continue getting ever richer, no matter what bestiality occurs beyond our immediate zone of control"

Introducing Baroness HAMAShton!

The HIGHly expensive Representative of the yEUrallinlalaland, Baroness Catherine HamAshton, not content with splurging zillions on EU Ambassadors all around the world to promote a common EU Foreign Policy, that can never exist, is now set to support the known terrorist organisation,already well funded by Iran, HAMAS, read here.

Not only that, while the rest of the world prepares for stagflation, with the only stop thereafter Depression, HAMAShton is planning to increase her spending by 5.9% next year, as may be read here.

Seems to me this Lady and Baroness HAMAShton herself, should both be embedded with Hamas!

Unconscionable Germany, and the obscene waste by Baroness Ashton and the EEAS.

Every individual employed by the EEAS should tender their resignations this weekend. One parliamentary question indicating the blind and reckless spending of that organisation, tabled last December, is linked here.

The Globe and Mail from Canada this morning publishes an article highlighting the farce that a common EU foreign policy is seen as in the saner world, read here.

Last September the UK Civitas organisation published a report calculating that the costs of the EEAS had by then reached 399 million pounds sterling and that the organisation was mainly engaged in 'spin' a euphemism for lies in post-Blair Britain.

What value do EU citizens gain from the hundreds of millions now being squandered by the EEAS? Is such arrogant carelessness what our hundreds of millions of pounds is being spent to promote, while our own aircraft carriers and fighter jets are prematurely scrapped?

Worse still, next week the 26 other nations plan to hand control of the economic governance of the EU to this same Germany. In Britain's case in a manner, sneaked before Parliament, in a grotesque mockery of what was once our democracy.

It is not even as if the events in Libya are happening in some far off corner of the world far from the EU. Malta, an EU member lies close by the Libyan coast less than half an hour flight away.

If this is not a defining crisis for the EU, then what else will ever be? The corrupt, mad and useless spending on the worthless and uselss EU must be brought to an end once and for all! Europeans must be free to consult their own  individual consciences in determining who might govern them. In such a manner do national consciences take form, this process cannot occur within the EU.

A Radio Four Today programme interview that marks the end of an independent British Foreign Policy!

At 0714 this morning an interview was broadcast setting in stone the abrogation of a British Foreign Policy that has been undertaken by the Coalition Government since assuming the reduced powers of British Government last May. The interview may be heard here.

The British electorate and others with an interest in Britain who are spread across the world and particularly those in the British Commonwealth, should be made aware that this was not a result of actions  by the previous Labour Government nor facilitated as a result of the coalition with the Liberal Democrats although those two parties are equally guilty in the casting aside of centuries of national independence.

Midwives to the European External Action Service were the Conservative Party led by David Cameron with the absolute co-operation of First and more historically important Foreign Secretary William Hague. This fact is made absolutely clear in an article on the authoritative internet website EurActiv, last July, linked here, from which I quote this critical portion:

William Hague's instructions to the European Conservatives and Reformists group in the European Parliament, in which the British Tories sit, were decisive in securing a crucial positive vote on the European External Action Service (EEAS), EurActiv has learned.

The Tories, known for their Eurosceptic views, helped to save Europe's future diplomatic service, Parliament officials said.

Without a decisive call by UK Foreign Minister William Hague to his fellow party members in the European Conservatives and Reformists group (ECR), whose members were elected on an anti-federalist ticket, the EEAS would probably not have got off the ground. (see roll call by Vote Watch)

Now listen to the BBC interview if you have yet to do so. Listen to this unknown, unelected so-called EU Foreign Affairs spokesman Darren Ennis describe attitudes to Belarus which have never been considered or debated by any elected Europan politician. Remeber it was our bullying slippery slime-ball of a Prime Minister David Cameron and his craven two-faced First Minister of State William Hague who brought their country to this degraded and totally unacceptable pass.

Later in the same programme, as if to add insult to injury, the BBC imposed a "Thought for the day" from the German Pope, read here, whose main achievement has been to cover-up thirty years of child abuse from his senior position in the church that has been the enemy of Britain for centuries.

What's Wrong with the EU Diplomatic Service?

Fringe Meeting, Austin Court, Tuesday Oct 5th, 9:00 a.m.

Back in July we were voting in the Strasbourg Plenary on the proposal to set up the EEAS -- the European External Action Service, or EU Diplomatic Service (under the wise and guiding hand of Baroness Ashton). And looking down the voting list, I and a couple of colleagues saw that we were whipped to vote in favour.

It had to be a mistake. As a Party, we've always opposed the EEAS, and we opposed the Lisbon Treaty which provided its legal basis (or at least we opposed Lisbon until it was ratified). But clearly we would not actually be voting in favour -- would we?

I turned round to our Foreign Affairs Spokesman (at least we still regard EU issues as foreign, even if Brussels regards them as domestic), Charles Tannock MEP (London), two rows behind me, and I shouted "Hey Charles, there's a mistake. We're down to vote YES on EEAS!". To which he replied "That's right. Instructions from London". Shocked, I immediately voted NO anyway, as did Nirj Deva and Dan Hannan. And to their credit, several other colleagues, although caught by surprise, at least had the presence of mind to abstain.

So which way now for euro-sceptics in the Party (which is most of the membership)? I have written to William Hague requesting an explanation of this volte face, but to date have received no reply. There's more to this -- much more. Ashton - The Robber Baroness!

The cost of the EEAS under the useless creature calling herself Baroness Ashton has its hands in the pockets of the entire EU citizenry, with no ability to perform any useful function whatsoever. A report in today's Daily Telegraph is linked here. Any slightly in touch EUofficial or MEP, grasping the realities of today's world economy, would draw back from such excesses, possible aware that the growing deep unpopularity of their functionaries is rapidly spiralling out of control. Robber Barons of the past had nothing on these greedy occupants of the ivory towers of the EU , therefore, a seemly exit from the EU now appears an increasingly unlikely scenario. On 11th April 2009, as invited, I informed President Barosso of the dangers that he then faced, which were repeated on this blog, read here, elsewhere I warned MEPs that things were likely to deteriorate so quickly that they might wish to consider the wisdom of joining such a corrupt group, perhaps they now should reconsider the wisdom of their profligate wastage of others hard earned money. A quote from April 2009: +++++ The world is facing economic melt down but none in the EU Commission, nor apparently in the EU Parliament recognise the realities of this situation. Budget cuts are supposedly impossible. Waste is enormous. The last thing that the citizens of the EU can afford is 5 more years of MEP and EU Commission hugely inflated salaries, expenses and pension rights for essentially non-productive time-servers. Since the Commission launched its ‘Better Regulation Agenda’ in 2005, the annual cost of EU legislation across the bloc has gone from €108 billion to over €161 billion – an increase of 50%. Link This is ALREADY intolerable and will arouse more anger as economies continue to contract and unemployment grows! The means by which the Lisbon Treaty is being imposed is demeaning to the whole concept of democracy and European unity, the people involved make themselves despicable! When economic growth resumes a European Council should only then meet to appoint a new Convention of relatively young Europeans from the 27 present member states to consider a better way forward. To quote Oliver Cromwell "It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice; ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government; ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of .."
