As repeatedly warned from this blog, employing Andy Coulson was not an action to be undertaken by individuals remotely fit to govern, let alone in a Prime Ministerial or even Deputy Prime Ministerial capacity. Two minutes spent reading any edition of the
News of the World whilst under this individual's editorship was all the evidence a rational man would need!
The following two brief paragraphs reinforce the point of the headline to this posting, both coming from an article in the
Evening Standard of tonight,

Mr Coulson, then employed by Downing Street as director of communications, told the trial in December 2010 that he had no knowledge of illegal activities by reporters while he was editor of the News of the World.
He also claimed: "I don't accept there was a culture of phone hacking at the News of the World."
