The complete and utter incompetence of all Britain's politicians.

"Where is HMS Ark Royal NOW? You scumbag politicians" this blog demanded to know in February 2011, when the jump jet aircraft carrier and its squadrons were  suddenly scrapped, mere weeks before opening an air campaign against Gaddafi's Libya.

Now that decision becomes even more grotesque and absurd as the Coalition Government does yet another 180 degree turn and announces the new carrier(s?) will revert to jump jets rather than fixed wing aircraft. Read here.

This is merely a glaring example of the almost all encompassing waste and incompetence from a bunch of rank amateurs who have never had any experience of running anything other than their own corrupt party machines in their entire brief and pampered lives.

The Leveson inquiry, later today when it hears from Rebecca (sp??) Wade/Brooks, will demonstrate the kind of concerns that actually fills the mind of our useless Prime Minister, when he should instead be concerning himself with the welfare of the nation!

Island ex-nation slashes its ships and crews to coalesce into a corrupted Continent

Britain's Conservative Party, while loudly and constantly self-proclaiming its doubts, has since the nineteen-fifties, always been at the forefront of destroying our nation's independence and democracy. So too today, whilst pretending its policy changes are forced upon it by a combination of the debts run-up by the former Labour administration and the policy perogatives of its coalition partners the Liberal Democrats, it takes the axe to the Royal Navy. Meantime furthe submerging itself and excessively financing the ever-growing tyranny that is the EU!

Not only has the RN protected our national independence down the centuries, and by such actions ensured the principles of freedom and democracy could mainly prevail across the European Continent itself. For any who may doubt this I recommend "To Rule the Waves" by Arthur Herman, sub-titled, How the British Navy shaped the modern world - ISBN 9 780060 534257 read Amazon description from here.

The BBC report of the cuts in ships and the redundancy notices being received by their crew members today is linked here.

RAF Typhoons at risk for nothing!

On 28th February a mere three weeks ago, this blog asked "Where is HMS Ark Royal NOW? You scumbag politicians" as David Cameron announced the case for a Libyan 'No Fly Zone'.

Did the spendthrift numbskulls leading this Coalition Government, Cameron, Clegg, Hague and Fox then pause and re-commission and re-deploy our then one remaining aircraft carrier, HMS Ark Royal to the Mediterranean, complete with its operational Harrier fighter jets, ideal for enforcement of a 'no fly zone'.  The ship, its planes and their pilots, had only just then been declared as fit for nothing else but the scrap heap? But No! Of course they did not! Such a reversal would have required a public admission of error and a speedy volte face. Something shirts stuffed only with pride could never contemplate! Yet it may well have saved the nation many millions of pounds!

Yesterday on Sky News TV, Dermot Murnaghan, (IMO one of the few intelligent broadcasters nowadays on British TV) asked General Lord Dannet about the HMS Ark Royal and the reply was clear, that even today that decision should be reviewed. Sky News, as usual continuing their own interests in driving British policy decisions, later edited out the references to the Ark Royal, re-playing Dannet's comments in subsequent news bulletins, as if no mention of HMS Ark Royal and its Harriers had ever been made.

Meantime, this same news broadcasting organisation showed three RAF Typhoons taking off from RAF Coningsby, reportedly to bomb Libya, in fact merely for Gioia del Colle airbase in southern Italy. The full sorry story of this plane, once known as the Eurofighter, may be read from here. Put simply, this plane, is an EU project and therefore, like all such expenditures, nothing but an expensive joke and confidence trick perpetrated against the people of Europe.

Putting such a piece of kit (which if the nation is to continue its present National Health Service and Foreign Aid programme, cannot possibly be afforded or justified) is political negligence of the highest order, when the HMS Ark Royal and its Harriers, already written off costwise, could have so easily been equipped and deployed!
