Canute-like Merkozy, cannot stop the EU tide receding

What begins in Paris today, between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy, can perhaps be thwarted on Friday by a few realistic European leaders, such as President Vaclav Klaus, of the Czech Rebublic at Friday's EU Council meeting.
