The EU Council is strikingly akin to the Magisterium in the Golden Compass

Last evening, I watched the film called Golden Compass, on the Channel Four TV station. The depiction of the lust for power by members of the Magisterium while obviously based on the Roman Catholic mainly evoked modern shudders from its uncanny depiction of similar actions by the EU Council of today.

Frightful and scary depictions of the dangers children face are historically thought necessary to protect children for thei own good. If only adults across Europe could be coerced to watch this film and see the obvious destination to which Merkel and Sarkozy are endeavouring to lead them this whole week.
