Euro Notes - French banks prepare for a crash?

Yesterday, in the middle of rural France, my wife drew some cash from the ATM machine at a market town branch of one of the three largest French banks. The largest notes she obtained were two items of fifty euros each. One had a serial number beginning with an 'S' showing it was issued in Italy, the other began with a 'Y', showing it had been issued in Greece.

Co-incidence perhaps?

For the benefit of my readers here is the link to enable identification of euro note issuers.
