Czech EU Presidency issues Gas Cut Ultimatum

The Telegraph has the report linked here which includes this serious statement of intent:

"There is a political dimension to this problem," said Mr Topolanek said. "Tomorrow is a key day. If supplies are not restored tomorrow, then we will have to see a strong EU intervention."

He said Prague's history with the Soviet Union would aid it in talks. "Our long term presence in the Eastern bloc in the past as well as our experience of totalitarianism gives us what is needed to be the one who can begin discussions to find a solution," he said.
