The British Police State

An interesting paper from Bob Lomas of the Magna Carta Society is copied herewith:

THE BRITISH POLICE STATE

For centuries the British Constitution has been a role model to the developing democratic world and the envy of oppressed peoples. It has also been the fear of oppressors and dictators, for when its principle is upheld and exercised it leaves no opportunity for the potential despot.

Under the British system of governance as enshrined in the Constitution the people are sovereign and the state is the servant of the people. In Europe the state is sovereign and the people are subject to the state. In the United Kingdom the people can do anything thy like as long as there is not a law against it. In Europe the people may only do what the law permits. In the United Kingdom the Rights and Liberties of the people are inalienable. In Europe the people's rights are determined by the state and can be withdrawn at the discretion of the state at any time.

Thus it can be seen that the two systems are diametrically opposed, absolute opposites in concept and practice. They are beyond any form of compromise or engaging adjustment. If the United Kingdom is to align itself at all with the European Union, it must completely and utterly abandon all that it is a nation state, its Constitution and rule of law, any recognition of, or adherence to, historic precedence, its democratic benevolence, indeed, all that upholds and maintains its sovereign independence and self political determination. The UK membership of the EU therefore must and does necessitate the end of this nation.

The Queen and Parliament were fully aware of this when they decided that this nation would become part of the new European political empire. In 1972 the Queen and Parliament totally disregarded constitutional constraint and the rule of law, and without any reference to the British people agreed by treaty with a foreign power to implement the destruction of this nation.

From what has developed since that time it is clear that the plan has been to gradually accustom the British people to the European model of totalitarian state control. An early move in this process was taking the police out of the community and building the police forces into a state militia, for when a country is under imposed state control it is necessary to have a force to implement and maintain those controls, and as is usual under such regimes, to impose fines and forfeitures to raise revenue for the state. It is also the role of the state militia to confine and put down political insurrection or challenge against the state. The first instance of the implementation and intervention by the state militia in this country was to be seen at the time of the miners strike.

The success of the take-over has been mainly due to political dishonesty at the highest level, and the fact that the British people have no experience of totalitarianism and therefore do not immediately recognise it. However, the incredulity is now giving to the dawn of realisation.

In the beginning it was the ordinary community policemen who were placed under centralised controls, but as time progressed new applicants to join the police force were selected according to their potential aptitude to adapt to the changed role of policing. We now regularly read of complaints about indifference, rudeness, and arrogance by today's policemen. Reports of physical abuse of innocent people are not at all uncommon. Any citizen speaking out against the state is likely to be arrested, locked up and humiliated without charge, a process designed simply to create fear in the community.

Institutionalised terror is created by maintaining a high but controlled level of crime in the community. Victims of crime who seek redress against the criminals find themselves victims of the state, victimised by the courts as a deterrent to others who might also challenge the system by protesting their rights.

Another means of institutionalised terror is the introduction of state regulations that defy logic, common sense and tradition. The objective of the Health and Safety regulations is to make fools of the people, belittle them and remind them that the state is in control, and that their former rights, liberties and freedoms no longer exist. It is not uncommon to hear of the Health and Safety Gestapo reminding people that it has the power to make people do anything it demands.

Our former state institutions, Parliament, the Church, the judiciary, the courts, the police, all are now subject to the all powerful over-arching European state with its European system of state control, administered in this country by the Queen and her puppet government. This country is now a German dependency, and this is unlikely to change, as a whole generation has now been raised and carefully educated to believe that the European system of governance which now dictates every aspect of their lives is the norm. Nothing in politics happens by accident. The fact that our education standards have plummeted in one generation is testimony to our dictators' long term aspiration.
