Two of the Labour MPs selling our Sovereignty

The following comes from this morning's Sunday Telegraph, linked here: A married couple, both Labour MPs, claimed almost £40,000 of household expenses in a year without submitting one receipt. Alan and Ann Keen were paid the money from the public purse even though they gave no explanation of why they needed it. The payout emerged as details of MPs' expenses were released to The Sunday Telegraph by the House of Commons three years after they were requested under freedom of information laws. The Speaker, Michael Martin, will go to the High Court to challenge a tribunal ruling that further disclosures should be made. The money paid to the Keens came from the additional cost allowance (ACA), which is intended to help MPs meet the cost of maintaining a second home. The Keens have two homes: a flat in central London and a constituency home nine miles away in the west London commuter belt.

David Cameron's mortgage claims are just one highlight of the first details to emerge of the financial fiddlings of the filth who have handed away our self-governance. Having fought for three years to cover these expenses up we can be sure of only one thing, far worse waits to be revealed: The documents, released after a mammoth three-year battle by MPs to keep them secret, showed how Mr Cameron used the allowance system to recoup £21,293 to help pay off his mortgage. The maximum he could claim is set out by Parliament as follows, link here: Column 1: Cost of staying away from main home The Additional Costs Allowance (cost of staying away from main home/ ACA) is paid to reimburse Members for necessary costs incurred when staying overnight away from their main home for the purpose of performing parliamentary duties. House of Commons betrays the Nation

The majority of MPs tonight voted for perks, pay, inflation-proofed pensions and padded non-receipted expenses but no responsibility! In doing so the Commons sold out its country and its citizens. The names of those few Labour MPs who voted to abide with their Party's manifesto promise were as follows: Colin Burgon, Ronnie Campbell, Frank Cook, Jeremy Corbyn, John Cummings, Ian Davidson, David Drew, Gwyneth Dunwoody, Frank Field, Mark Fisher, Roger Godsiff, Kate Hoey, Kelvin Hopkins, Lindsay Hoyle, Lynne Jones, John McDonnell, David Marshall, Austin Mitchell, Anne Moffat, George Mudie, Denis Murphy, Alan Simpson, Dennis Skinner, Graham Stringer, Gisela Stuart, David Taylor, Paul Truswell, Robert Wareing, Mike Wood. Thirteen Liberal/Democrats voted for a referendum thus honouring their Party's election manifesto promise. Two abstained: John Maples (Stratford-on-Avon) and Ian Taylor (Esher & Walton)> As the results of this treachery grow ever clearer those Members of Parliament who rammed through this travesty must eventually be held to account. Ony 48 MPs voted in favour the remainder presumably now being happy to forego their seats, salaries, perks and pensions having abdicated all their responsibilities to the unelected eurocrats in Brussels.
