Why Cameron wants to push EU Referendum beyond 31st March 2017

Last evening I received a message from an always reliable source the essence of which is the following:

On the 1st November 2014 the right of Parliament to legislate over us in 43 areas, the important ones, will be removed and be made subject to approval, by majority vote of the lying undemocratic and unelected bastards fronting the EU.
They call it QMV, Quality Majority Voting, which translates in English to: You’ll do what we tell you, or else.
Heath – Thatcher – Major – Blair – Brown, are all, by allowing this, acting in High Treason, but as every important Government post is now held by an EU Common Purpose trained thug, waiting to take over from elected local government officials from 1st November 2014, there seems to be little we can do about it.
Below, are the 43 areas of ‘competence’, areas we British have been declared incompetent to decide for ourselves.

Make a note of the last one because it says we cannot leave the EU unless the other members allow it.
On 1st November 2014 the following areas of competence will switch from requiring unanimous approval of all member states to qualified majority voting only:

A brief review of the Treaties confirms the substance of the above. Transitional arrangements allow, only on specific votes, for the Nice Treaty Provisions to apply from 1st November 2014 until March 2017, hence I imagine PM David Cameron's determination to delay our referendum beyond that date, tying Britain for ever within the non-democratic, totalitarian and now clearly despotic EU.

All Parliamentarians must be made aware of the deep danger the nation now faces when casting their vote on the 2014 Referendum possibility that Adam Afriyie's referendum amendment has suddenly appeared to provide.

EU Citizen Surveillance or Projecting Force Abroad?

The announcement yesterday by Air Chief Marshal Dalton of the RAF on the 617 Dambuster Squadron was interesting; One report is linked here and the following is a brief extract:

“The Lightning's state of the art stealth and precision target capabilities, together with the battle-proven Typhoon force, will complement each others’ capabilities and set the base-line for UK Combat ISTAR2 air power as a contemporary global force for the 2020s and beyond.
 
“Lightning shall be operated jointly by the Royal Air Force and Fleet Air Arm pilots, from land or from the Queen Elizabeth Class carrier. Overall, a hugely flexible and futuristic joint capability.”

The Footnote 2 referring to ISTAR partly explains as follows:

"2. Combat ISTAR refers to the ability of armed aircraft to conduct intelligence gathering or surveillance missions while simultaneously equipped to strike targets or provide support to ground forces." 

That definition nicely encompasses both manned and unmanned flight but with intelligence as its priority. So the famed Dambuster Squadron seems set to become a mere arm of the (post-Snowden, rightly suspiciosly viewed,) GCHQ spying operations, in future presumably mostly involving drones!

So we are beginning to get a view  of how this Government and its masters in the EU now view the role for Britain's Queen Elizabeth class of Carriers for which only Britain's taxpayers are footing the bill: intelligence gathering on its own citizens within the EU and projection of its evil designs beyond its borders as its own non-democratic and therefore potentially despotic and even perhaps tyrannical leaders (whomsoever they come to be,)  in secret, (yet again without democratic scrutiny) may from time to time so decide!

Defence or even perhaps aggression, debatably and rarely, on the basis of 'my country right or wrong' could perhaps be envisioned in forming a defence policy for the future of any democracy BUT NEVER CAN IT BE SO ON THE BASIS OF  'this EU right or wrong'.

This matter and the planning and expenditure underway, is a hugely compelling reason to hold any EU referendum as soon as possible. The suspicious frequent recent showing of the film of the Dambuster raid and spin around Squadron Leader Gibson, hint at the possible disbandonment of the reformed 617 Squadron becoming a propaganda tool in the anti-Brexit campaign. Scrapping of the two carriers will also be a powerful tool to win over the jingoist vote as perceived by the likes of British Interest.

Considering Britain's interests outside the EU it is hard to make a decent case for the Aircraft Carriers, within the EU they can only be used for spreading such sinister and greed driven power and influence overseas.

Such EU power would be  mainly, I guess, towards Africa, thus continuing the disgraceful situation ongoing in Somalia to other parts of that Continent, whose plight was brilliantly described in last evening's programme on BBC2 in its Indian Ocean series.

Bruges Group slams Cameron's BETRAYAL

Barry Legg, Co-Chairman of the Bruges Group and former Chief Executive of the Conservative Party says, “David Cameron needs to come clean with the British people: why is he breaking his pledge to hold a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty? “There was absolutely no wriggle room in the unambiguous pledge he made in September 2007. He offered a “cast iron guarantee” to put any treaty in front of the voters. Why has he changed his mind now? What has changed his mind now? “It cannot be good enough for a man who wants to be British Prime Minister to hide behind the leader of any other European state. Václav Klaus is a hero in his own country for having stood up to Communism. David Cameron seemingly can’t even stand up for his own past promises. “What is the point in David Cameron upending one pledge on Europe , but promising he’ll offer us yet more European promises in his general election manifesto? Why will they be any more credible than the ‘cast-iron guarantee’ he has just broken? “How can David Cameron claim he’ll fight to repatriate powers from Brussels when he won’t even fight to implement his own past words? “When David Cameron made his pledge to readers of The Sun to hold a referendum on Lisbon, he said this about the Prime Minister: The final reason we must have a vote is trust. Gordon Brown talks about "new" politics. But there's nothing "new" about breaking your promises to the British public. It's classic Labour . . . Small wonder that so many people don't believe a word politicians ever say if they break their promises so casually. “The Tory leader stands condemned by his own words. “David Cameron’s future European policy is now incoherent, disingenuous and utterly unconvincing. This is a dark day for the Tory party, but a worse one for Britain .”

Brown's courage and loyalty to EU = TREACHERY TO BRITAIN

President Sarkozy's praise of Brown's courage and loyalty and the gratitude he expressed of all the other EU leaders can be directly measured in an exactly equal degree of Brown's betrayal of the electors of his own country who he has duped and robbed of democracy by not honouring his pledge of a referendum on the ramrodded EU Reform Treaty. 1. Local referendum campaigns get underway: Can you help in an area near you?

The I Want a Referendum campaign is organising referendums in 10 constituencies around the country, giving half a million people a vote on the revised EU Constitution, in what will be the biggest vote on Europe since 1975.

Ballot papers have arrived on people's doormats throughout the country, and voters have until 25 February to send back their papers in the freepost envelope provided.

We now urgently need people to help us campaign in the regions. The biggest challenge will be encouraging voters to actually take part in the vote and return their ballot papers by the deadline.

2. Mass lobby of Parliament: 27 February

I Want a Referendum is organising a mass lobby of Parliament on Wednesday 27 February 2008, from 11am to 6pm. This is an opportunity for you to come to Westminster and tell your MP in person why you think there should be a national referendum on the revised EU Constitution. Within around a week of the lobby, MPs will be voting in Parliament on whether or not there should be a referendum - don't miss your chance to persuade them to vote 'yes'.

Remember: anyone can lobby their MP - you do not have to be an expert. You just need to be willing to ask your MP a few questions, and to tell them why you think there should be a national referendum on the Lisbon Treaty. Past experience has shown that a mass lobby is one of the most effective ways of getting a message across to MPs.

Additional information about the referendum campaign

Voters in the selected constituencies will be asked two questions:

1. Should the United Kingdom hold a national referendum on the EU's Lisbon Treaty: yes or no?

2. Should the United Kingdom adopt the EU's Lisbon Treaty: yes or no?

Everyone on the open electoral register of voters in the above constituencies will receive a ballot paper. Those who are not on the electoral register can call 0208 889 9203, or email customerservices@electoralreform.co.uk and request a ballot paper.

Voting will be going on until 25 February and the result of the referendum will be announced before the end of the month.
