Blair/Brown How Britain's decency was sold out by New Labour

My blogs Ironies and this, its successor, Ironies Too over more than ten years covered in detail the rape of Britain by New Labour. Some of the detail is now starting to emerge, so to hopefully complete this sick story and record that New Labour death and disgrace, I will include links as the truth finally emerges.

To begin these links, a report in the Daily Telegraph this morning and another in The Independent of yesterday. I will provide links as appropriate to the Ironies and Ironies Too posts of the time as detail is revealed, hopefully the truth on Dr Kelly will be one such item!

A Proper X Examination of PMs Blair, Bown & Cameron would make Buckles look competent

The Guardian has its say here, the Telegraph from here, but one thing that the ordinary people of Britain must surely now be beginning to grasp, is that, however woeful Nick Buckles' performance in his job as head of G4S  (the company failing to supply security for the Olympic Games as contracted) has been, it would appear stunningly successful if able to be put against any similar cross examination of our past three Prime Ministers, as that delivered by the Home Affairs Select Committee in Parliament yesterday.

The fact that such questioning has still yet to begin in our Parliament, and that such gross incompetence in several Cabinets and across the Civil Service has continued unchecked for so long, plus the fact that all our MPs are today heading off on months of undeserved, high paid vacation, is a stunning indictment of our elected representatives, and ourselves as voters in tolerating this criminal negligence and incompetence for so long.

Buckles' errors at G4S are nothing when compared with the administrative mess, in almost every area of public control, and decay across the stock of public assets, which make the past remedies for High Treason seem mild for the depths and lengths of crimes that have been committed in the public's name in the supposed, but non-existent, governance and administration of our nation. Worse, the opposite of moral guidance has been shown at the highest levels, leading the way to an almost complete collapse of standards and principle wherever money is circulated and used in Britain. APR interest rates in the mid 1700% on pay day loans continue as MPs depart!

There has hardly been one Minister or Civil Servant or Senior official (as typified by Lord Adair Turner and Sir Mervyn King and his side-kick the oily Paul  (ever startled-looking) Tucker at another such Committee in Parliament yesterday morning,) who comes to mind to be singled out to escape such charges on the grounds of a job well done. I trust there is an exception somewhere but have little hope the number would enter double figures!

The HSBC shame revealed in the US Congress by the afternoon, fittingly concluded a day of complete but thoroughly deserved humiliation for our country and all of us who hold its citizenship.

Libor truths will eclipse Lords Reform, Coalition Woes and transform British politics!

Sky News has a leaked memo this morning from the Barclays Bank Executive Board in a report linked here, from which comes this quote:

In a memo sent to staff yesterday evening and which has been leaked to (Mark Kleinman, the article's author), the nine members of the bank's executive committee warned that the Libor crisis should not distract them from the core task of safeguarding Barclays' vast balance sheet.
"The macro-environment remains febrile, especially in Europe. We have to remain vigilant on balance sheet exposures and risk management. In short, our focus must remain on capital, funding and liquidity; improving returns; and driving income growth."
The memo, co-written by Marcus Agius, Barclays' outgoing chairman, apologised for the impact of the rate-fixing episode on the bank's staff, but hinted that its rivals were likely to be hit even harder than the £290m in fines imposed on Barclays.
"As other banks settle with authorities, and their details become public, and various governments' inquiries shed more light, our situation will eventually be put in perspective."

Of course it is not just other banks. The true scandal and the eventual truth that will emerge is that it was the Central Bankers and the then governing politicians in Downing Street who conspired to create the crisis.

The posting on my blog from 24th September 2008, quoting a report from Bloomberg gives the entire game away from this one statement:

"There's no real term funding markets except for central banks," said Meyrick Chapman, a fixed-income strategist in London at UBS AG. "The Libor is meaningless. It's for unsecured lending and there is no unsecured lending as far as I can see."

Therefore it is obvious that if there was no unsecured lending in September 2008, and you can read my blog archive for that month by clicking here to recall the prevailing chaos, then as Libor rates continued to be issued, they appeared only as a result of a conspiracy between Central Bankers presumably at the behest of their political masters with ultimate responsibility resting with Gordon Brown in Downing Street, (already widely suspected of having become almost completely unhinged).

The fact that Brown, Darling and those others New Labour ministers and placemen involved have yet to be called to account, speaks volumes on Britain's present methods of governance, in which Lords Reform can immediately be seen to be a complete irrelevance.

Iceland's former Prime Minister on trial for negligence!

A precedent of considerable concern to many supposed democratic leaders and Commission officials across the EU is set today when Former Icelandic Prime Minister Geir Haarde goes on trial at a special court on charges of negligence in his handling of the 2008 financial crisis. As detailed blow by blow on this blog, the British Government's handling of the banking crisis, the full effects of which have been merely deferred rather than confronted; sometimes pale into insignificance when compared to the events within the eurozone, but what Brown and Darling accomplished nevertheless will eventually require their being brought to account!

The shadow of the gallows over today's Royal Wedding.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, has seized the rare opportunity, provided by today's Royal Wedding of her Grandson Prince William to Kate Middleton, to demonstrate her loyal subjects' absolute contempt and complete disgust for the treasonous activities of her two most recent former Prime Ministers, Gordon Brown and Tony Blair.

By refusing to invite these two men to attend the celebrations in Westminster Abbey today, she has indicated to her subjects, the enormity of their crimes whilst  holding the highest office in the land, compounded by their amending the penalty for such crimes they and their accomplices were knowingly committing. The price for treason when New Labour took office was to be found at the end of a rope, today it is not! Are not such changes strong evidence that they well knew of what they were about?

Blair and Brown, in the arrangements for the transfer of power, delivered the governance of Britain to foreigners by devious manouevres, sidestepping our Parliamentary protections and contrary to our longstanding constitutional arrangements. All as spelled out day by day in great detail on this blog as the changeover was made.

It is to the shame of those other senior politicians in Britain, particularly the present Prime Minister, David Cameron and his Deputy Nick Clegg, (but also former Prime Ministers John Major and Margaret Thatcher,)  that  these two men are still allowed to continue to walk free, while they should be detained at Her Majesty's pleasure, allowing a thorough review of each detail of exactly how and by whom else the nation was thus betrayed, thus sparing the Sovereign from today having  been forced to stand alone in giving form to her countrymen and countrywomen's smouldering outrage at what has been wrought upon our country.

I have queried the silence of our Monarch on this blog in recent years, while these treacheries have been played out. The Queen's gesture today provides some comfort that all may not yet be completely lost.

My own wishes from this blog go to the young couple, embarking on their life together today, especially given the gravity of the duties and responsibilities thay may one day have to assume.

Is BoE Governor King worried over UK Creditworthiness?

The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Alistair Darling, speaking from the fifty million pound G20 meeting finance minister's wining and dining and doing nothing weekend in Horsham to BBC Radio 4 informed John Humphries categorically within the past half-an-hour that Governor of the Bank of England, Mervyn King, was not worried about the nation's creditworthiness. If that statement is true then Bank of England Governor, Mervyn King, should be fired on the spot today! If that statement by Alistair Daring is not true then Alistair Darling should resign on the spot - after all the economic dumb shit for whom they both work is now so incapable of seeing reality he cannot be any longer expected to make a rational choice between tea or coffee!

Scotland and England

The Daily Telegraph has a rather amazing report that suggests Cameron's Conservatives may have found a ruse which they hope will bury the West Lothian question. As could have been expected it is a complete Dog's Dinner. I have added my own comment, which is repeated below as the Telegraph has taken to ignoring comments that might throw Cameron's Conservatives in a remotely realistic light. The column titled "At last, an answer to the English question" by Philip Johnston, is linked here. David Cameron made it perfectly clear he would refuse to address the Scottish anomalies, such as the Barnett formula, in his first interview with Andrew Marr, he stated: "I’m a Cameron, there is quite a lot of Scottish blood flowing through these veins." The headline news today that Britain's banks (many Scots' controlled) will be handed another 50 billion pounds of our devalued money means it is not just our democracy and parliament that has now been destroyed. Will any English politician now demand Brown offers an explanation as to why he required Mervyn King on appointment as Governor of the Bank of ENGLAND to remove house prices from the chief inflation index, for that must be the cause of this debacle, i.e. it was avoidable and Brown is culpable.

Commons to vote on Referendum 5th March

The Constitutional Treaty now appearing variously as the EU Reform Treaty or the Lisbon Treaty will be considered as eligible for a Referendum by Members of Parliament on 5th March. Britain's Prime Minister was summoned to Brussels yesterday to explain his government's handling of the Northern Rock crisis and nationalisation. He disgracefully used that opportunity to continue his own personal campaign of LIES again repeating that the Constitutional concept of the Treaty had been abandoned when the sentence in which that statement appears clearly continues to require that the conclusions of the Constitutional IGC were to be included in the New Treaty. Such EU conspiratorial LIARS are now becoming self-delusional, this week we also saw the following quote from the President of the EU Parliament Hans-Gert Poettering following the approval by MEPs of the Reform Treaty report as: “Reflecting the will of European citizens” How could this elitist head of the sickeningly corrupt EU Parliament with his huge personal staff of toadies and fleet of Mercedes (read Telegraph report from here) possibly have the first idea of the "Will" of the people of Europe? The answer of course is that he well knows his statement is a lie as were he to believe his own words he and his colleagues would not be spending every minute of every day working to avoid any referendum in any country other than Ireland, which result they will assuredly ignore if it goes against them as per their previous track record. Lies and corruption, even the presumed justification for the EU position on Kosovo cannot be backed up by clear indisputable facts on the reasons for the Nato intervention and subsequent actions, read here and here.
