BBC Journalists' Actions Belie their Words

There are many in Britain who in recent years seem to have deservedly earned the general public's deepest contempt. Bankers spring immediately to mind and I am sure it is not necessary for me to compile a complete list for we all will have our own.

One group that seems unaware they are now even included in this motley band are BBC journalists, particularly those who compile and present the Today Programme on BBC Radio 4 each morning. This group, self-importantly have set themselves up to not only set the agenda for the day's national debate but impose their views, more appropriately described as prejudices, on every topic under the sun or across the world, wherever it may occur, and regardless of their own ignorance of the issues involved.

Laughingly they have today again gone on strike, mistakenly believing they will be missed. Had the BBC Trust a proper management structure staffed by personnel of principle, they would be fire the entire Today team and only 50% offered reinstatement at 50% of their former plush payment packages, all of which becoming subject to normal HMRC taxation!

The growing stench from the "Screws of the World" reveals BBC Peston's warped mind.

The man under whose editorship senior police officers were apparently paid off and who went on to run the Downing Street machine and become the most trusted advisor to our weak minded Prime Minister are but the latest in the list of revelations of sordid activities and the putrid stench of absolute corruption across high palces now being revealed by the News of the World (NoW) phone tapping scandal.

Yet have we not all known that the paper was a disgusting rag, which in my day people would only admit buying for its supposed high class sports coverage? But it is not just among the two and a half million odd Briton's who weekly buy the paper, where its malign influence has been inculcated into society. Consider the words of BBC Business Editor Robert Peston on the Radio 4 Today programme, this morning.

Referring to the BSkyB board, who are awaitng a Government Approved takeover offer from the men and women behind the corrupt NoW, Peston stated that their reaction to the prospect of being controlled by such filth, could only be to "ask for more money"!

Britain's media mafia hiding the facts for the EU and its Westminster playthings.

It is not often anything approaching the truth is allowed to be broadcast by the BBC, but for one precious minute this morning John Pilger managed to shout out some facts at the end of this typical set-piece propaganda output on Wikileaks. Go to this link and fast forward to seven minutes in, listen to it all if you have the time and inclination.

EU debate on Radio Four Today

The broadcast that took place at 0810 this morning may be heard again from here.

The introduction from the BBC web site was as follows:

0810
The euro remains a "  credible"   currency despite the debt crisis that has required the bail outs of Ireland and Greece according to the European Central Bank's chief Jean-Claude Trichet. David Rennie, political editor of the Economist and Peter Sutherland, former Irish European Commissioner discuss the crisis of confidence in the eurozone.

The first point I would make is that I am amazed that there remains anybody employed by The Economist magazine who has managed to retain such a coherent view on the reality that is the EU.  Of all the degradations that my country of birth has suffered down recent years the complete trashing of The Economist has probably been the one that has affected me most closely and on a weekly basis.

It will be interesting to see how the Irish handle the situation of people who still think and talk as Peter Sutherland does over the coming years! Sutherland has always been one of the most fanatical of EU Federalists and has wrought untold damage on Europe, it is amazing that he can still trot out such garbage as this.
