Something stirs

Protestors have climbed a crane overlooking Parliament Square overnight to press for the promised referendum on the EU Treaty. Video footage is available from Sky News and an online poll by that channel asking whether the Britsh people should get a referendum is showing 96 per cent in favour at nine o'clock. The group responsible for the protest are apparently calling themselves 'We are change" not part of other groups - Good for them! Britain's mainly despicable electedrepresenatatives returning to Westminster this morning should contemplate what such inevitable change will mean for them, if they vote against a referendum will their pensions and perks still be willingly paid in some ten or twenty years time when the consequences of the anti-democratic Lisbon Treaty are a gruesome fact of everyday life?
