Bilderberg Group to target Libertas.

A report from Canada, linked here, includes the following: There will be a final push for the enactment of Lisbon Treaty, pending on Irish voting YES on the treaty in Sept or October. One of their concerns is addressing and neutralizing the anti-Lisbon treaty movement called “Libertas” led by Declan Ganley. One of the Bilderberger planned moves is to use a whispering campaign in the US media suggested that Ganley is being funded by arms dealers in the US linked to the US military.

Libertas Rome Convention

The best report on the first Libertas convention I have found is in the Irish Times, linked here. A brief quote: Lest anyone had any doubt that they are unclear about what they want, the opening speaker, French MEP Philippe De Villiers, quickly set the no-nonsense tone. Yet there is a problem here for the party founded by the opening speaker to which I had considered giving my support in June and that is the policy just announced by Libertas to adopt a push for an elected EU President, which to me would be a major step in the creation of a pan-European totalitarian Superstate. I will need to consider this in conjunction with the proposed 25 page Constitution which Libertas plans in place of the Lisbon Treaty, but on first look these proposals seem to fly in the face of all the founding principals of Philippe de Villiers' MPF, "le Mouvemente pour la France", which earlier existed for the promotion of sovereign states! My assumption that Libertas appeared as pro-EU to avoid post-electoral challenges from the federalists clearly now needs some re-consideration. I will expect an entirely convincing explanation from the MPF before casting my vote in that direction, abstention now appears the best course. Voters in the UK will not face this dilemma, although picking among the many alternatives supporting national independence to deliver a strong message to the incumbent parties will pose a different challenge. At present a protest vote looks in danger of being too widely diffused!

Lech Walesa to address Libertas Convention within minutes.

The man who held out hope to an oppressed Eastern Europe, Lech Walesa, is to address the Libertas Convention in about 10 minutes at 12:30 CET 11:30 BST, it will be streamed live from here. Can this man acknowledged as a prime force in the smashing of the Communist Tyranny now do the same to the 27 former nations now suffering under the anti-democratic EU monstrosity?

Daniel Cohn-Bendit MEP - an archetypical man of the EU

The Irish Times this morning, linked here, devotes an article to the dual nationality, former revolutionary "Dany le Rouge", who very recently was considered by many to have been overly offensive, read here, to the Czech President, Vaclav Klaus in Prague, a quote from the paper's article:

Cohn-Bendit accuses Barroso of scheming to get himself reappointed in July, because he knows he will face stronger opposition if the appointment is left until the new commission is formed in the autumn. Britain, Spain and Portugal support his reappointment.

The longer it is delayed, the better the chances of a strong candidate emerging, says Cohn-Bendit. “The green candidate is me.” He holds dual German and French nationality, and has served as a German or French MEP for the past 15 years.

I will not repeat here the detail provided by Mary Ellen Synon in her blog of 1st April this year on the Daily Mail web page linked here, titled "Dany le zip" which describes this man's apparently proud admission of sexually molesting children back in 1975 revealed in a recent debate with Declan Ganley, but I do wonder why a newspaper as respected as The Irish Times would provide this publicity to such man so soon after such publicity? Looking at my previously linked report on the events in Prague Castle last December, one must also wonder why Hans-Gert Pöttering, European Parliament President and other EU notables would choose to be associated with such a man and associate themselves with either his past or his personalised attacks? 400 million EU Citizens should note this June the nature of those so dedicated to attacking Declan Ganley and Libertas!

Time Magazine features Declan Ganley of Libertas

Amid growing signs that EU political leaders are trying to bury the fact of a pan EU election from the 400 odd million electorate, this coup by the leader of Libertas is unlikely to go down well with the "projects" anti-democratic plotters. Read the article online from here. Here in France I will be voting for Libertas, a massive pan-EU vote for the party would be the best shock that the EU could have delivered. A quote: A self-made millionaire, Ganley plans to field Libertas candidates from all 27 E.U. member states in this June's European parliamentary elections. His party, he says, will bring change to Brussels. "We can really shake things up," he says. "We can send a message to Brussels for democracy, accountability and transparency in European governance." Ganley maintains that the E.U.'s handling of the current economic crisis has been "dysfunctional" and that Europe's leaders haven't produced a roadmap for recovery. "I want Europe to work. I want it to face challenge of the day. But I don't want to leave it to this to cartel of politicians who aren't accountable to us at the ballot box."

Libertas gets a Maltese Candidate

Its interesting that while the UK Conservative Party is questioned and frets how it will gather enough candidates from other elected MEP to form a group in the next EU Parliament, Libertas goes quietly about ensuring it should be able to form its own group without such worries - and what is more perhaps one entirely devoted to fighting the corrupt monstrosity the EU has become thanks to Europe's main established parties such as the Conservatives. Interview with Declan Ganley of Libertas

After watching Prime Minister's Questions in Parliament where the Lib/Dem leader Nick Clegg made one of the few questions with any impact, and Farage for UKIP made an ineffectual appearance on the BBC Question Time 'The Politics Show', the next big electoral test the EU Parliament elections in June look ever more likely to prove fertile ground for Libertas. So, as I understand it, you’re in favour of the European project as long as it is more accountable. So how would you make it more accountable?

It’s called democracy, you know? And it’s a pretty simple thing. If it takes more than a minute to explain what democracy is then it’s not democracy anymore. I was very amused, I was on some blog site a few days ago and somebody, some proponent of the Lisbon Treaty, had put together a useful diagram of how democracy worked through the Lisbon Treaty and there were so many moving parts to this diagram and input points and different processing areas and everything else. This person had convinced themselves that this had something remotely to do with the democratic process – which it doesn’t.

Democracy – okay well, I can’t do this graphically but let me take this pen as an example of my power as an individual citizen. Power devolves from the citizen. This is my power as an individual. And what I do in a democratic process to my lawmakers, for example, in Ireland, is I take my power – my little piece of it, my little opinion – and I lend it at the ballot box to a lawmaker, to an elected politician. I vote for them. And I lend it to them, I don’t give it to them. I lend it to them on condition that they use it wisely. And the most important thing about democracy is that if you don’t use properly my little bit of power that I lend you, I can take it off you and I can give it to this person over here.

Now what the Lisbon Treaty has done in countries that haven’t had a referendum is taken the power of the citizen – but that citizen has lent that power to elected politicians. And those parliaments have taken that citizen’s power and sovereignty and they’ve handed it to institutions in Brussels that the citizen can never hold accountable. It wasn’t theirs to give away in the first place, that wasn’t the deal. Now people may not be aware of this, and they’re not, but hopefully by June they will be.

Ganley opens EU Campaign with assault on Troughing

Fat pigs with their snouts in the public trough both in the EU and in national governments were the first to be attacked by Declan Ganley, the leader of the pan-european Libertas Party as he opened his campaign for the June EU elections, the report in the Irish Times is here and the following are quotes:

“I am a businessman, not a politician. I know what it takes to create wealth. I know what it will take to dig Europe out of the mess that our politicians have created,” he said, according to a supplied script.

“We are led today by a group of people who have no basic understanding of economics. A group of people with no real life experience of business.

“A group of people who have never, not once, created a single job, except when they do it with taxpayers’ money to employ bureaucrats instead of doctors.”

He added: “Our campaign here in Ireland will be vigorous. We will be attacked, and we will be slandered, and we will be lied about.”

Mr Ganley said Libertas’s message was true. “ Our principles are correct. We are on the side of the people, not the establishment in Dublin. If we work hard, stay focused, and make our case, we will win.”

Libertas has declared its intention to run candidates throughout the European Union.

BBC against democracy and Libertas

Declan Ganley of Libertas has declared he will run in Ireland for Libertas, read a Times report from here. The BBC did not take long to broadcast the first of the propaganda ripostes from the embedded totalitarian federalist lobby here or here ( in latter case select Profile from the alphabetical programme list). It all reminds me of the first post I made to a blog "Wont Go" five years ago last January, which I repeat mainly to show how little things change - or indeed how much worse they become: Can we Curb the Corruption from Brussels? On 10th June 2004, in just five months time, the British electorate will be asked to choose seventy eight individuals to sit in the European Parliaments for the next five years, at a yearly cost to the taxpayer of more than a million pounds a head. Every MEP in his or her turn will expect to receive some quarter of a million pounds for each and every one of those five years. These individuals will be expected to remain impartial and uncorrupted, while representing their constituents' interests in a parliament that totally lacks any powers to curb, plan or even oversee an out of control budget, the bent Brussel' s Bureaucracy that spends it and the secretive and corrupt Commission that supposedly controls it! That unearned and soiled filthy lucre partly returns to further sully Britain’s Politics. Our principal political parties have been selling-out the sovereign rights of the British people, their liberties, democracy, common law rights and countless other small, but far from trivial traditions, for over thirty years, destroying the very fabric of our nation. I believe it is time to call a halt, and after much thought have formulated a possible means of putting all our politicians on notice that the British people have had enough. I propose a new party be formed to run a full slate of candidates for the European Parliament across the entire nation, who will be committed, when elected, to reject their seat, the salary and all the obscene perks that their defeated Labour, Conservative, Lib Dem or other opponent would so eagerly have lapped up. The nation will lose nothing, as MEPs lack any power to affect our lives or regain our country’s independence. The major parties will lose huge portions of their income; the part furtively and disgracefully gathered from the unaudited and out of control EU Budget, the indirect effects of which have been to stifle anti-EU dissent. Libertas announce candidates for French EU Regions in June

Le Figaro reports on the launch of Libertas in France, linked here in French. The highest profile figure is Philippe de Villiers (a former Presidential candidate and sovereignist) who will stand in the West. Frédéric Nihous, of the pro-hunting movement will stand in the North West and Jérôme Rivière, a former member of Sarkozy's party will stand in the region around Paris. Libertas appears to have a more substantial base in France than is the case in the UK which proved to be a very underwhelming launch this week and appears to offer little real threat to the BNP, Ukip or the English Democrats at all at this stage. The complete uselessness of David Cameron actually receives some sideways mention in the Daily Telegraph this morning, linked here. At the present rate of decline one trusts that between these four parties the Conservatives will receive a well-deserved drubbing for their lack of proper opposition to Brown and Blair over recent years.

Western Defence Heavyweights join Declan Ganley's Board

The Irish Independent carries the report of ex-Military appointments to the Board of Directors of the company of Libertas founder Declan Ganley who is expected to make public his plans for his party in Britain later today.

Ganley and Libertas go Full Out

Declan Ganley, the founder of Libertas, was hugely impressive with the always underwhelming and supercilious Sopel, or some such, the BBC interviewer on The Politics Show this Sunday! Now it appears, according to The Times, linked here, he is to step down from his commercial interests to concentrate full time on a pan-European campaign for his EU reforming and pro-democracy party! Mark Francois, Shadow Europe Minister, for the Tories, trying to counter the threat, lived down to the usual very low expectations! As I posted on Conservative Home's Centre Right this evening, things are getting interesting, although my concluding sentence has the most sense in this DEPRESSION - cancel the whole costly farce right NOW, my posting:

Declan Ganley came across very well during the few moments he was given at the end of The Politics Show today I thought.

His pitch that in June a Pan European Party will have the best chance for change will be hard to refute.

I also believe the English Democrats will have a candidate in each English Region which with the BNP gaining an ever higher profile will make it all an interesting competition for the EU political subsidies over the next five years.... unless the people finally wise up and cut the funds off at source!!

Libertas loses EU funding and Pan-EU status

In a prime example of the sordid state of the anti-democratic Parliamentary Pillar of the European Union Libertas was stripped of its recognition following pressure on two of its original sponsors, read here. Update 17:40 GMT The Irish Broadcaster RTE is carrying a report on the "intimidation" of the original sponsors and the manipulations allowing a deadline for new sponsors to be obtaine, read the internet report here.

Libertas registration snag!

The report of an Estonian MEP denying support for the group is from EU Observer, here. The report includes this passage: "Mr Ganley appears to have fallen at the first hurdle. Apparently his claim to have recruited enough supporters was untrue. What Europe really needs is a bit more Veritas and a lot less Libertas," said Liberal MEP Andrew Duff, who unveiled Mr Grazin's affidavit denying involvement with Libertas. Surely not a call for Robert Kilroy-Silk MEP!

Libertas formed as Pan- European Party

Another milestone in the destruction of the EU as an anti-democratic tyranny is marked today as Libertas is expected to be rubber-stamped as a pan-European party making it eligible for EU funds. Notable is the inclusion among the founders of the Mouvement de France MEP, Philippe de Villiers who was previously allied to the grouping including Britain's UKIP and a candidate for the French Presidency.
