EU Fiscal Treaty causes split at top of a major Irish Party.

Fianna Fail saw the departure of the Deputy Leader of Fianna Fail, Eamon Ó Cuív, yesterday as is reported in the Irish Times, linked here.

The fiscal compact, imposing policies that few European democracies have been prepared to impose or enact over many decades, hence its presumed purpose to enforce authoritarianism from Brussels, should be causing such fractures across Europe.

It is a sorry indictment of Europe's governing and main opposition parties that the national Parliaments are approving rules workable only within autocracies!
