Tory Leader in Strasbourg Parliament calls for Drachma's return in Greece

The comment by Martin Callanan the leader in the European Parliament of David Cameron's governing UK Conservative Party, has called for a Greek withdrawal from the common currency and a return to the drachma.

At least somebody in that party of buffons can see the reality of what is going on in the EU!

The report is linked here and is as follows:

Martin Callanan, a British MEP and leader of the European Conservatives and Reformists group in the European Parliament, warned that the crisis would become worse "the longer we kick this can down the road". He said: "The harsh reality is that we cannot make the Greeks into Germans no matter how hard Berlin tries. The structural weaknesses of Greece's economy cannot be reformed from Berlin and Brussels. There is no way that it can end well so the least-worst option is to allow Greece to default and devalue. It will be an extremely painful action but it's always better to tear a plaster off quickly."
