How could the world's rugby authorities allow a Frenchman to ref a semi-final for France?

Referee Alain Rolland's father was French.  He has done more for his country than most of his countrymen could ever have dreamt of today, by sending off the Welsh team captain in the early stages of the game - AND for the rest of the game.

Alain Rolland has ensured that a vastly inferior French side were able to reach the World Cup finals, by a margin of 9 points to 8, thus making a mockery of the entire New Zealand tournament.

Only a full replay under a neutral referee could now salvage this competition and rugby's reputation for fair play!

Whoa, that is surprising! That's a violation of the fair play policy of the sport! The World Cup organizers should keep in mind that matters like this might endanger the sport. Controversies like this can linger in the memories of fans and mere spectators alike.
