Ken Clarke claims One Third of MPs are corrupt!

The claim in my headline may be deduced from comments made on the BBC Andrew Marr show yesterday and this morning given substantial coverage in The Sun in an item on the multiple homes and dirty dealings of Maggot Darling under a sub-title heading of:

Thieves

Shadow business secretary Ken Clarke said: “It is dreadful. It has made people more sceptical about politicians than I ever recall.

“We have an exaggerated public view that they are all thieves, they are all rogues, they are all lining their own pockets.

“Two-thirds of them, I am quite sure, are doing nothing improper at all - at least two-thirds I hope. I have a question for Ken Clarke MP -" what kind of person are you who willingly serves in an organisation where you are fully aware that one third of your colleagues are corrupt (ie some two hundred individuals) , where you have held various senior posts in that organisation, yet there is no record whatsoever of your having attempted any reform???" AND for all the other Maggots, apparently some two thirds of members, how can you serve alongside so many villains without any attempt to name them, shame them and boot them out of Parliament?
