Owen Paterson's statement on the murder of a policeman in Northern Ireland

“This is shocking news and our thoughts and deepest sympathy go to the family and colleagues of the murdered policeman. We all owe a huge debt to these brave men and women in the PSNI. This killing is brutal and will not achieve its political aims. It is vital that everybody helps bring these evil murderers to justice; they must not be allowed to divert us from the great progress made in recent years. We must all be vigilant, but continue to go about our normal everyday business.”

You have disgracefully edited the despicable statement by Owen Paterson the Northern Ireland Shadow as recorded by Hansard!.

I agree what he said was totally shocking for any Conservative and he should properly resign forthwith, but his statement should be posted in full on your blog with the closing phrase uncut, as I recorded on my post "Crisis for Conservatism - Number Two" first thing this morning now complemented by "Crisis for Conservatism - Number Three" this afternoon, both on Ironies Too.
