Jail now a real prospect for the entire British Cabinet

The Sunday Times yesterday headlined the prospect of retrospective legislation to remove Lords Archer and Black from the House of Lords, a typical New Labour response to four of their own peers having been entrapped into a corruption scandal. Read here. Politicians, being in general the low-life filth that this Government has proved themselves to be, have previously had the sense to steer clear, indeed to run a mile from even the slightest hint of any retrospectiveness in legislation. Once that taboo is crossed we can all look forward to electing a group of politicians who will have the courage of their convictions to put Blair, Brown, and most of their Cabinet colleagues firmly behind bars where they so properly belong alongside many of their banking pals too! Personally I believe that evidence will be found to allow a sensible administration to attain the same goals with existing legislation, whether or not it could include Major and his mates for their Maastricht treachery remains to be seen!
