French disbelieve Strauss-Kahn guilt.

First reactions in France were that it was Sarkozy's UMP that had somehow manipulated the IMF Chief's downfall. These reports were lent credence by accusations that a student who first tweeted the news in France was a UMP activist. These theories are blown apart this morning with this report from Canada, read here.

According to an opinion poll, most French people still believe in the innocence of the man once likely to be their next President, linked here in French, this poll shows 57 per cent think DSK the victim of a plot while among socialists ( therefore already clearly demonstrating an inability to reason), that number rises to 70 per cent!
