Compulsory health checks in England

The following is my contibution to a debate in the columns of the Daily Telegraph: In a free and democratic nation with a sovereign parliament periodically re-electable just possibly a case might be made for such nannying interference. In a subjugated England, with its parliament undergoing castration, where the Leader of the House and Deputy Prime Minister (presumably as a consequence of all this) fears to walk in her own constituency without a flak jacket and the medical profession are merely pawns of the state - the whole concept is totally unacceptable if not downright dangerous.
