A Dreadful Day for England

Firstly - the plain protest against New Labour has been read as approval for Vapid Cameron. Secondly - A Scottish MP, Dr John Reid, among other advances by the Scottish ruling clique, will now run the Home Office - the nonsense of which may be seen by reading this definition of the responsibilities as now shown on Wikipedia linked here: Home Secretary The Secretary of State for the Home Department, known as the Home Secretary, is the chief United Kingdom government minister responsible for law and order (except in Scotland). The Home Office's remit includes policing, the criminal justice system, the prison service, internal security, and matters of citizenship and immigration. THE APPOINTMENT OF DR JOHN REID TO THIS POST IS AN AFFRONT TO THE MAJOR NATION OF THE UK! A fact that seems to have been missed in the comments of the MSM. Thirdly - although Jack Straw thoroughly deserved his demotion he was at least the sole clearly English politician in a major department. (The choice of his replacement noted for her lack of foreign nous seems quite extraordinaryand provides scant consolation as she will quickly become an international laughing stock.) The gain of Harrogate by the Lib Dems, if national considerations prevailed, shows in the North at least the sham that is David Cameron has been clearly perceived. Much of the thirty odd per cent of the English electorate who bothered to vote yesterday threw away a golden opportunity to show their disgust with the two leading parties by voting for anyone else.
